Chair Yoga

Beginning June 1st.




Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that utilizes a chair to sit in, or as a support while standing.  Chair yoga is aimed at increasing flexibility, strength and improving balance.  Regular participation in these activities can  help reduce risk of falls, increase mental clarity,  and alleviate stress and anxiety.

Chair Yoga is a good stepping stone for those  who would like to participate in yoga mat-based classes in the future.  Anyone can do chair yoga!  Sherry will lead you through gentle yoga poses, sitting in or standing next to the chair, and modify the poses as needed depending on your ability.  

Come to class in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in.  No need for special yoga clothes.  Bring water to keep hydrated. A chair will be provided.

Join us for yoga ready to unite your mind, body and spirit with our Maker. The classes will be structured for beginners and more advanced “yogis”.  This is a time for you to relax and take cate of your bodies that God created so  you can better serve Him.  Please consider bringing the following items:   yoga mat, water, towel, yoga blocks and strap. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to bend and move.
